Conditions on board are damp; damp wet gear, damp deck shoes, damp fleece jacket, fogged up ports but thankfully a dry, warm bunk. Big treat today was making chocolate chip mufins with a few of the remaining fresh eggs. Here's a quote from his email " Just put in my third batch of baking today. I had a few eggs left so I thought I would use them up on muffins. I realized that what I thought was chocolate chip muffins was in fact chocolate chip cookies. So in about 12 min. we'll see how they turned out. I'm trying to trick them into thinking they're muffins by putting them in a muffin pan. Still rather light air out there today. Sun's out, cockpit is dry and we haven't had water over the deck for hours."
He also reports seeing a black bellied Petrel (close enough to the boat to reach out and touch it.) At the moment he is getting lots of interference on the ham radio making reporting a little challenging. Over the next days and weeks, he'll move from the Australian ham network to the South African that will hopefully take him a long way towards Cape Horn. He enjoyed dinner of fresh tuna (10 pounder) caught earlier in the day with fried onions and fried potatoes. Anyone following the cricket match in Sydney, Australia?
